I bought an item which I have received, but have not had a chance to use it yet. I want to use it before I leave feedback, but need to see if it works ok. How long do I have to leave feedback?

You have 60 days to leave feedback from the date of the purchase.

In case you don't know - you don't need to ever leave feedback if you don't want to.
