Annette, if you type in 'verify by phone' into the question box above, and click on see similar questions, you will get some answers that others have been given to try when they have had this problem.

When you are asked to confirm your identity, eBay calls YOU - you don't call them.


Just put YOUR phone number in the box and hit "call now". If it chucks an error message, you'll have to phone Customer Service by following the links to Contact Us from the Support menu up the top right corner of this page.


Mine wouldn't work last time, so I used my Mobile Number instead.
