I bought an ipad but when I received it there was no charger or cord. I contacted the seller and asked if they had forgotten to include it but I was told that the sale was for the ipad only and I should have asked beforehand whether or not it included the charger and cord.

Am I wrong in expecting that the seller should have said so in the item description?

The ipad was described as used and in excellent condition.

Just to add please don't buy a charger or cord from a cheap Chinese seller, they are likely to be counterfeit and can not just burn out the equipment but could burn down your house or cause a serious electrical shock.
