When I logged into eBay I was directed to another window that indicated that if I made a purchase by eBay mobile and paid with PayPal then I could claim the $10 voucher. Screen copy attached.
I did exactly this and Paypal came up with an error code indicating that the voucher code of CMOB3 was linked to another account.

Im actually going to report this to the ACCC.
The add clearly states that you are guaranteed $10 off a purchase, but you need to purchase something in order to check whether the voucher is legitimate. I purchased something that i wouldnt usually have on the basis that i was advised by ebay that i would receive a discount. I got to the paying stage of the checkout process and found that the invoice was not valid, despite it still being prior to the expiry date and now i have no way ou tof the transaction.
This is clealy a consumer violation and ebay lacks the proper avenues of dispute in this matter.
Therefore the ACCC needs to be advised.
