i want to cancel an item that I didn't want

HI I am emailing you as I have an item on my list on which I don't want to purchase 

The reason that I don';t want to purchase is that at first 

I don't have the funds

I don't want the product and have no use for it 

I was searching for a friend and they wanted to know more about the item then some how I received an email saying I am in a dispute 

I am trying to resolve this as I am not interested in purchasing this product for the reason stated above

Accidentally buying is very difficult as there is a two step process to making a purchase.

First purchase and then confirming you want to purchase.

If it's in your purchases then you have bought it whether you remember or not.

The seller pays fees when you buy and they are not obligated to cancelling the transaction.

It sounds like they have opened an unpaid item case against you to get their fees back and if you don't pay for the item your account will receive an unpaid item strike that stays on your account for 12 months. 2 strikes or more and you can't bid or buy from sellers that block non payers.

Not much you can do except pay for the item and perhaps resell it yourself.
