45 day time limit?

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of any rule in Ebay imposing a 45 day time limit from date of purchase for a disatisfied buyer to commence some sort of dispute process? I read about it in Google searches but can't find it on Ebay's Australian site.

I purchased and paid for an item with an unusually long postage estimate and I have reason to believe that it may have been a scam. So if it doesn't turn up I would like to start proceedings for an Ebay refund within the 30 day period after the "estimated delivery date".

Do I also have to ensure that I start those proceeding within 45 days of the purchase? I can, but it is very tight and I will be travelling at that time.

I would welcome any guidance.

Cheers

That was the earlier deadline for opening a PayPal case.

The new system in ebay is now to open a case within ebay's Money Back Guarantee for either Item Not Received Or Not as Described.

And you have 180 days to do so provided you paid with PayPal.
