9ct rodd

Hi does anyone know if 9ct rodd  is the real deal or is this plated/rolled gold etc.  I've heard so many stories.  I do know Rodd was a jeweller in Australia 1930s.  The item is a gold ring marked 9ct rodd.

Rodds started in 1919 and was still trading into the late 1980s.

They were well known for their 9ct gold plated children's jewellery....lockets, rings, bangles etc.

I have never known them to make solid gold jewellery....I would think your ring is plated.
