Should I return an item when the case has been decided on my favour?

Hi, i just bought a smartphone. When i receive the item, i realized its a defect item while in the sellers description is clearly indicated that its brand new, absolutely no defect.

I try to contact the seller but get a very unpleasant response. He didnt want to admit that his item is not what he described. His last word was "better luck next time" which really **bleep** me off.

So I open a dispute through eBay resolution centre.

I got a message from eBay stating that they've put the case on hold for 5 days to ask the seller to facilitate the return. And seller is responsible for the return shipping cost. If the seller fail to respond and make a smooth arrangement with me after five days, they'll close the case in my favour.

And after five days, the seller ask me to return the item, but seconds after that eBay message me to inforn that the case has been decided on my favour. Couples of days later, i got my money back.

Should I return the item?

Thanks
