what if a seller is now unregistered and ebay and paypal wont help. Ebay & Paypal are passing blame

I purchased an item 5 weeks ago. The seller is now unregistered on ebay. Ebay says it's Paypals problem and Paypal says its Ebays. They are both passing the blame. So much or buyer protection!!!
