Purchased a book 3 times........Grrrrrrr

So I purchased a book from one of the big book guys.

After a few weeks they email me saying there may be a delay.

I ask how long.........................no responses.

2 months later they refund stating their supplier let them down.

Found another seller and purchased same book.

Exactly the same happens.

Third time lucky ? NOPE, exactly the same.

So I have now waited and tried for nearly 6 months from 3 big sellers on eBay to get this book.

AND they still have it listed................................Grrrr 

I am not going to do this a 4th time so suggestions anyone ? Dave ?

Book is "Alone" Richard Logan.

BTW, WHAT an amazing true story.

An 11 year old girl is found floating on cork in the middle of an ocean by a freighter.

No one knows how she got there and she kept it a secret until 20 something years later.

Book Depository appears to have it (UK seller, around AUD$30, free shipping). 

Not sure if they're on eBay and therefore one of the sellers you already tried, though.

If you sign up for Audible's free trial (30 days), you could listen to it for nix.  (if you find that an appealing alternative - I like listening to stories at night when I'm working sometimes, mostly true stories :D)

Thanks DG, have sent a message asking if they definitely have it in stock.

I like the sound of talking books especially if read by famous actors but his one I would like to read and lend it to my sister as well.

I've never known The Book Depository to be out of stock if they have a book listed on ebay or their own website.

The rep from BD assured me there are 100 copies in stock.

Went to make the purchase, IT IS NOW SHOWING AS UNAVAILABLE ! .........................ARGHHH.

Sold 100 copies in 3 days ????????????  I don't think so.

I'm not meant to own this book.

Just received a reply from BD -

"I'm terribly sorry; it appears that the item was made unavailable from our suppliers, therefore we no longer stock this title".

And there are around 10 listings on eBay in which none seem to be able to supply.

Found one on eBay, secondhand high volume seller, went to ask a question (Do you have it in stock?) and first time I have seen this -
