bidding on item, item gets canceled

I bidded on a item, then 3 days before listing ended the item gets canceled, can a seller do that???.

absolutely - the item belongs to the seller until finish of auction or sold - it might have broken, or the seller had to leave, or there was a mistake in the listing, any reason it doesn't matter.
