Dob in sellers of fake Chanel bags

Why are there so many fake Chanel hanbags allowed on Ebay?

I have dobbed in 4 just today & will keep doing it as they are obvious fakes!

If Ebay cant keep up with removing the fakes I guess more people need to

do what im doing.

I dont care if im upsetting anyone. I got caught myself & want to stop this happening

to another innocent buyer.

I have since done alot of homework on the bags & can spot some fakes really easily now.

Dob in the dodgy sellers, do us all a favour.

Honestly you are wasting your time reporting them to ebay, it's all about the $. If you really want to do something about it contact the brand name owners and let them know they are being sold on ebay.  If they are concerned they can join ebays VeRO program.

I would have to agree with you, as the bags have not been removed.

The bidding for one of them is over $700.

I give up.

Hard for ebay to determine if they are fake without having it their hands.

Or ebay need the manufacturer to advise which are fake and which are not.

Over the net it is always buyer beware.

Actually with all due respect its quite easy to determine a fake particularly Chanel. There are many "tells". The largest professional authenticators use pics to determine authenticity. Certain shots of an item are required in order to be sure.

The purse forum, yoogis closet and many more internet based experts also can authenticate a bag from pics.

The best authenticators are authenticate4u.com & etinceler.com

However you are correct in so much as it is buyer beware. If you are going to buy luxury brand handbags on line at least have them authenticated, spend the $7 it could save thousands!

Some people prefer to buy fakes. Sometimes fakes outsell the original products.

I ask lot's of questions and ask for more detailed photo's, serial numbers etc... if they cant provide them i dont bid. I have seen a shocking fake fendi and burberry on here today, silly people are bidding up a storm, funny thing is they can get the real thing for less, giggle.

I've reported it to eBay & The Purse Forum.

You can report the listings yourself but ebay takes very little notice unless you have bought a fake bag and have a letter from an authorised 3rd party stating that it is a fake.

They do not take much notice of other members reporting listings as they could be in competition and just out to destroy a seller's business.

If you know they are fakes just don't buy them....it really is buyer beware when you are looking at high end designer labels as most of them are fakes on ebay.
