Looking at the photo of her posing with the haul it's almost impossible to believe that anyone would put that much of anything in a suitcase, on an international flight, without questioning what it was.
However, there's one thing about the argument that she knew exactly what she was doing that doesn't quite add up. i.e. why was it such a lousy concealment? Apparently each plastic wrapped brick was placed with a set of headphones and chucked in the suitcase. A dozen or more sets of headphones is going to look odd and raise suspicion - not to mention the weight issue.
Why not hide each brick in a different object? Or ditch the 'phones and go for a false bottom suitcase, coke in the platform shoes, packets strapped to the body etc. I realize that the Columbian authorities would be well aware of these classic concealment methods but, hey, the kid wasn't even trying.
