Donald Trump inauguration

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-01-21/what-did-donald-trump-promise-to-do-in-his-first-speech/819989...

so many promises, so many questions.

i really get a lor of what he is saying and why so many want him to do the things hes promising.

but i ask, lets just pick the 'bring jobs back to america.

i presume he means manufacturing jobs.

so lets take something every american would buy thats not made in america but under president trump will once again be 'made in america'

television sets.

the reason televisions are made in china or korea ec t is really cheap labour meaning really low prices at the store when i buy my tv.

if america says, no more cheap imports of tvs, gotta make em in the USA then who is going to be happy to pay $2,000 for a tv that costs $500 now?

and that spreads to all imported goods trumps wanting to be 'made in america' again.

is he planning to lower wages for workers in america to the same as 3rd world countries?

Think we have to face it.

President Trump - is by no means - dumb.

I have no standing for either candidate - fairly elected - the next 4 years will tell.

He has already turned down his - granted $400,000 per year - why not wait - for judgement.

Just an aside - I for one am over political correctness - it has gone so far - it's laughable.

Manhole - now - person hole.

Man eating tiger - give me a break if he is hungry.

And if I have to fill in another form - am I Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander - I will get the Darwin Award

i dont want to prejudge the guy but would like just a little information on how he intends to bring manufacturing back to the USA.

how is he going to build a wall between mexico and the USA and get mexico to pay for it.

how hes going to expell all the illeagle imigrants.

i'm over the 'believe me' and 'trust me' lines

i wanna see action.

or maybe he'll just say hes done these things but the media lies about it and says its not happening.

This is how. 🙂

Ford Motor Co. announced Tuesday it has scrubbed plans to build a new $1.6 billion assembly plant in Mexico, a project that had been spotlighted by then-candidate Donald Trump, especially after Ford said it would move small car production from the U.S. into that new factory.

But while the move is being hailed by some as a victory for the president-elect, a closer look at the announcement, made by senior Ford executives at a suburban Detroit assembly plant, did not actually reverse the central decision the automaker announced last April.

Small car production, such as the compact Focus model, will still move to Mexico, just into an existing Ford plant in Hermosillo.

And while Ford will use some of the savings from the planned Mexican plant to expand its factory in Flat Rock, Michigan, that project appears likely to have happened anyway. The maker's new body shop and expanded assembly line will handle production of two new battery-based models that were not expected to be built in Mexico, anyway.

hmmm, i think he will buy his daughter a camera, get her to take pictures of empty houses (prolly listed on sale sites) then show those pictures to his weekly prez faces the press thing and say 'look theres proof illeagle migrants are being deported, look at their empty houses!'

i think he'll get his youngest sone to draw a brick wall and tell the same press thing 'look theres the wall! and them mexicans paid for it'

i havent figured out what he'll do regarding actually making stuff in the usa, might just be factories making new sticky labels saying "Made In The USA" that will be stck over "Made In China" labels.

good luck to 'make your products' philosophy - hes going to have to import workers to 'make your products' cause Americans wont be able to 'make your products' as cheaply, to the same standard as other countries already do.

I,m not really sure what you are reffering too. I never said anything about " make your products " or indicated any support for Trump. All I did was respond to a forum poster who made disparaging remarks that indicated " The Liberals " where upset at Trumps win. I responded that Trumps policies where more alighned with the right than Hillary Clintons lefty, socialist policies and that it was the lefty, socialists who where devestated by the Clinton loss. I was not taking sides, just stating the bleeding obvious.

I also commented that it was nice to see the politically correct, uni educated, comfortable, middle class, womans libber "special people"  squirming for a change.

The socialist policies espoused by Clinton and her political elites have been a failure wherever they have been tried. They lead to a loss in innovation and work ethic and much greater welfare dependancy. This includes the business sector which stagnates and becomes dependent on government handouts rather than relying on innovation and effeciency. ( just look at car industries in all western countries to see the effects of socialist, protectionist policies ). Socialism is fine in theory, the only problem is  IT JUST DOESNT WORK !!!!!

My views on political correctness are also no secret, as is my view that woman dont need liberating. What woman do need is GENUINE EQUALITY, such as equel pay and the removal of the glass ceiling in business and politics. Burning bra's and chanting childish, uni type slogans, aint going to achieve equality.

I havnt got any time  for PC rubbish or the educated, political, media and business elites who have caused many of the social problems we have today.

chameleon, um, in the link I posted, Trump repeats the phrase 'make your products'...I just posted my reply to the previous poster- which just happened to be you...it wasn't a direct reply to you, or any of your posts.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Agriculture have been placed under de facto gag orders by the Trump administration, according to documents obtained by news organizations.
The president has banned EPA employees from “providing updates on social media or to reporters,” according to interagency emails first obtained by the Associated Press, and barred them from awarding new contracts or grants as well. Trump is reportedly planning massive cuts and rollbacks for the agency.

This follows similar guidance to USDA employees, who were instructed in an internal memo obtained by Buzzfeed not to release “any public-facing documents” including “news releases, photos, fact sheets, news feeds, and social media content” until further notice. Specifically the request was made to employees of the Agricultural Research Service, the USDA’s primary research wing, which is heavily involved in research regarding climate change.
In a statement Tuesday, the USDA called the email sent to staff “flawed” and said the proposed policy would be replaced. “This internal email was released without departmental direction, and prior to departmental guidance being issued,” the statement read. “ARS values and is committed to maintaining the free flow of information between our scientists and the American public.”
The two blackouts reported on Tuesday bring to at least five the number of federal agencies which have been ordered silent by Trump in as many days.

If all that is true (and I don't know the facts of it) then America would be experiencing the beginnings of a full on dictatorship ... Smiley Indifferent

For the whole worlds' sake, let alone the American people, I hope that is not the case!

The moral of the story of the Trump election iswherever you are, whatever the election -  VOTE!!

If you don't vote then you have no right to complain about who got in.

America is in this sad state because so many people did not vote.

Wrong wrong wrong.  People died to give future generations the right to vote.

And yet so many just can't be bothered.

So people like Trump get in, on the backs of the apathy of others.
