FREE 3rd party hosting

What do you guys use now that Photobucket has gone mad and wants $400 for the privileges?

imgur-it's not glitchy like photobucket was getting to be lately, it is currently free & it's fast.

PS I noticed that the only option for the 3rd party hosting with photobuckey was $399. Most of us would only have the occaisonal photo to put on a forum & the $59 option would be enough.. except it doesn't include 3rd party hosting? Obviously they are trying to clear out some of their users.

I know we can't expect everything free, but $399 is too dear.

I had an email from photobucket-selling coffee beans? They certainly are heading in a different direction, market wise.

I pulled all my photos from PB, and downloaded them to my external hard drive.

Wow!  I'm thinking it's a sign of financial desperation when a company suddenly wants to start charging such a huge amount out of the blue.

Years ago I used photobucket, but only for a very short time as it broke down too often and I decided there were easier and better ways to go.

Thanks I will give imgur a go.  I only stayed with Photobucket out of laziness, and because I only used it for eBay and hardly ever list anything nowadays.  I used to use it many years ago for putting photos on various forums when it was the way to do it.  I did not even realise how many photos I had there - there were only couple of albums, eBay and others, but the others had lot of old pics that I lost when my computer crashed few years back.  So, thanks Photobucket, I now found them and it took me whole night to to rescue them.  🙂  And then I delete them from PB, now I will see if I can also close the account, just in case they will start sending me demands for money.  I have seen on some US boards that they totally messed up some people's eBay listings with notices plastered all over their listings demanding the $399.  Would not trust them.  Hope nobody is paying them.

I keep all my photos on my computer or external hard drive & only used photobucket to post photos on a few message boards I am on.

All the same, I probably had hundreds there. I am surprised they don't have a cheaper subscription option for those customers who only want to upload the occasional photo.

Well. IMGUR did not do too well, they do not allow anything to do with selling or advertising, and when I tried to put the photos into my template it just did not work  😞

There must be something, so many sellers use templates with pics.

If you just want to store your photos with a 3rd party, just open an id specific

business Facebook page and just store the photos in there.

No problems importing them from there
