Peaceful muslims do not receive the publicity that the extremists do, Creating fear and hatred is what the media focus on to increase their readership and ratings - same with certain politicians.

Good on them nova

I opened your thread  because that slogan is so familiar to me, it's the same slogan used by the March in March organization.

I posted this about Muslims protesting againts ISIS  in another thread yesterday but it got lost in another commotion there

Who keeps saying the community is quiet?

This week and last week they have come out in numbers and denounced isil but there's many who are silent and secretly support isil otherwise our young wouldn't be going over there to fight with isil

It's ggod to see a social media campaign but numbers marching in the streets helps a lot to assuage the fears of the wider community,  but the isis supporters have large numbers as we saw in that protest in Lakemba after the Hammerhead raid.

We shoukld have seen the community rise up to support the operation instead we see only the public protest.

Good  on the social media protest though.

thanks for that link karlia, I hadn't heard anything about that.  many muslims don't support ISIS as is obvious as they are trying to fight them off in Syria and Iraq

It's time the news reporters started calling ISIL extremists or extremists muslims.  News readers are referring to the videos from ISIL calling on muslims to kill westerners. Muslims are not all murderers and this group is killing more muslims than others. It would help if they report that the extremist group ISIL is calling on their followers to kill people rather than calling on muslims to kill people.
