In reply box -  2 to the right of smiley face is a box with mountains

Click on that will bring up browse.  Most people put the image on large,

not full size before browsing.  Choose photo  and insert

Does that make sense?

When you click on reply and the edit/typing page opens from the menu bar along the top you click the small landscape icon, two to the right of the smiley icon, and then click on 'choose file' on the pop up page that appears, then after you have you decide size & alignment etc... and you're good to go.
