how do you know the item you purchased is the item that gets posted out from the seller ?

what measures (if any) are there to ensure what you buy is actually what the seller posts out to you ? eg you could order an expensive item and recieve a reel of cotton and maybe be over the waiting period to resolve the situation !

Firstl,y you should never let anything go over the time limit for a dispute. You have 45 days from the date of payment, which is ample time for any item to arrive, even from overseas. Always start a dispute on day 40 if an item hasnt arrived, no matter what the seller says. It is better to open a dispute and close it again, than to not be able to open one at all. And if you open a dispute for nor arrival, and then the item does arrive and is not as described, you can change the dispute to reflect that.

There are scammers here, as there are anywhere, but the majority of sellers are honest, and if you make sure you protect yourself by using paypal, and the free protection it offers, and go by the time frames involved, you wont have a problem.
