can you change ebay store name then use it for user id?

I have a problem...

We opened up an eBay store under a name we liked.  Then we wanted to change our user id to match the store name but it won't allow us to.

Question is:  Can we change our store name to something else (freeing up the name) then change our user id to the old store name, then rename the store back to match it?

No, an old name remains not usuable for a period as there may be history attached.

Besides some buyers may already know your store name and worthwhile keeping.

Call ebay and see if the only circumstance preventing the ID name change is because you have the store name.

They may be able to override it seeing as you have that store name.

That is if an ID is allowed to be the same as the store name, I am not sure.

Alternatively you could perhaps try same names with underscores in between or stars at the end of name.   *trusted_deals*
