Can you block contact from someone on ebay?

I am just wondering if it is possible to block contact from another ebay user. I have been contacted by someone from my past who is blocked from all other avenues of contact, however they have managed to find me on ebay. Can I block them or do I have to delete my account and start another one?

You can block them from buying and bidding, you can also block them from communicating with you.
But if you have recently been in a transaction with them, the coms block may take a little time before it's effective.
Hover over account tab and select site prefs then buyer requirements. Show n edit to the right.
Scroll to the bottom for the Blocked bidders list and tick the box to block comms.
