I know there are many threads on fraudulent listings. I know it is a waste of time reporting them as ebay will not remove them & even if they do, the scammer will just pinch another set of photos & put up yet another fake listing.
Why do ebay have no warning system for the poor folks who contact these scammers? If it's well below market price, if there is no phone number, if you canot inspect it, IT'S A SCAM. If the seller offers to freight it at no extra cost, IT'S A SCAM.
Alternatively, why don't the AFP set up stings to catch these guys & permanently remove them from society?
I have been watching a $75000 caravan that is advertised for $17500. I have reported it, I have contacted the owners of the genuine item on caravan Sales.com but 2 weeks on, it is still listed. How many people have sent off their money & are awaiting delivery?
