Shipping restriction

I won a thermometer on a ebay auction and the seller sent it with global shipping service.They have sent me an email stateing that they cannot ship the thermometer to Australia because of restrictions.Well i don't understand what the restrictions are cause i have another 2 thermometer that i have shipped from USA to Australia in the past.

It is not the countries regulations but Pitney Bowes (GSP) that restricts some (many it seems) items.

Ask the seller for a refund and purchase from a seller that doesn't use the GSP.
