Excess postage charge from seller

I paid more than twice the amount the postage cost for an item I purchased locally to be send locally. What can I do if the seller is not responding?

Nothing. If the charge was on the listing when you purchased, ebay will not entertain a complaint, because you agreed to that charge when you bought. All you can do is mark down the sellers postage stars, but even that would be harsh, seeing as you agreed to the cost. You should also remember that there is more to the cost of a package than what you see on the stamp. There is packaging and possibly insurance, which would not show on the stamp cost. And the seller is entitled to charge a handling fee as well.
