Hi,
i want to buy an item from US to be shipped to Singapore.
when I pay for item online, do the import duties or GST gets deducted automatically.?
Does eBay/ shipping agent arrange for it to be cleared at the customs?
Will appreciate help.

Your item is being shipped to Australia via the GSP. If it is under $1000 it will not attract the GST and will be automatically cleared by Customs.
If you are having it sent to Singapore you need to find out what postal method the seller will be using.
