I've received an email stating that my parcel was delivered two days ago, but it hasn't arrived.

I received an email today (Wednesday) stating that a parcel I ordered through eBay (in the UK, to be sent to an address in Australia) was delivered on Monday. The parcel was sent to my father (who isn't on the internet), so I called him to find out whether he had received it, but he hasn't. We're a bit concerned that the parcel was delivered to the wrong address, so are trying to find out who to contact. It's not clear from the tracking details who the local delivery partner is, and I've already made a few calls trying to find out, but to no avail. We'd like to see if we can work out what went wrong from our end before we apply to get our money back. Any ideas? I've spoken to Toll and FedEx, but neither of them know anything about it.
