Why is postage different from one ebay page for the same item to another

I have put in an offer on an item that was accepted but I was told by the seller that the cost of postage was going to a different figure. On one page of the item ebay shows a cost of $25.99 Aud for postage which was the basis of my making the offer however if you go into the item on another page is shows a different postage cost in AUD dollars. Why is the same item showing two different posts of postage. On the item listing for sale it shows ions price and this is the price you see when as a buyer you first. I'd. But when you go into the item in another screen. The postage cost is a completely different price, this appears to be an error with ebay and how it shows the cost of postage when it translates it from one denomination US dollars to AUd dollars. Why?
