seller increased postage charge after i paid for item

Postage was calculated to my postcode on the auction site, i won the auction paid immediately through paypal and then the next day i get an email informing me I wold be reinvoiced and charged an extra $4 postage. This was not listed in the details and I did not agree to it. is this allowed? i might not have minded so much if the email wasn't so "curt". Thanks in advance for your help.

If it's a new seller they may have made an error in the postage cost and I often pay the extra or suggest we go halves in the difference.

However if it's either a seasoned seller or rude seller I explain that I am not obligated to paying more than described in the listing and if they would kindly post my item asap.

Depending on the response will determine whether I report them for non performance, type of feedback, etc.

eBay rules are that you are only obligated to paying what is in the listing.
