Thanks lyndal

You are telling me what i already know now,I should have been more careful. The purchase was from a private seller and what I cant understand is that the item which was not sent is useless to me or anyone else as it is half of a wooden ship model with over 1000 parts of which i now have only half of,so what benefit would the seller achieve retaining the other half?,im sure it would be unsellable.and why lie to me?..now there are two people with a box of useless parts...unless of course he relists the item as per original listing and does the same thing to someone elsein an attempt to deliver them half the item therefore being paid twice?.

If it was two separate parts of a model ship how can you be sure the seller did not send it.

It is quite likely that it was lost in the mail.....if you read the boards you will see that there are many reports of lost mail.

As you say, what could the seller possibly have to gain by keeping half the item.

Have you asked at your local post office if they have a parcel waiting to be collected?  Have you looked arond your own property in case it was safe dropped by the contractor?

By the way, when you start a thread you need to reply to the previous post on the original thread to keep the continuity.  This allows other members to chime in with further help.
