I am quite confused as to how to work out the correct Postage,Cost.on things I am selling

I have only just started to sell items on eBay and when I am setting up the Ad all is well until I get to the Postage Section. Ebay posts these suggestions as to Postage Prices, but then they ask me how much it weighs and what size Satchell or Box I will be using. etc.

I don't want to get caught out like I did recently when I thought I would offer Free Postage, Yes the Item sold, but the Postage I paid was far more than what I got for the Item. So it wasn't a win win situation that's for sure.

Thanks

I find the best method to use for beginners is the calculated postage for smaller items.

It will show the Australia Post cost to individual postcodes for buyers.

But you need to enter the correct weight and size so a little homework is needed.

Be on the safe side, including packing material so you are not out of pocket.

For items with unusual shapes, sizes and weights, I prefer to get a price from AP before I list.

Those prices are relevant for most major cities in Aus and I then state quotes are needed for far Nth Qld or WA.
