i've been selling on ebay for over a year using a seller's account , but i'm now considring opening a store. I was wondering wether there are any worthwhile benefits that having a store will provide and how do stores differ from seller's accounts

You get 200 included BIN listings with a basic store which costs $19.99 per month. Unless you can list more than 100 items I doubt if a store would pay better than just using your 40 free listings. If you change to a store and want to list in auction format it will cost you $1.50 per item for everything except collectibles.
A store wotks best if you have multiples of the same new item to list or if you sell in a category that has multivariables.
