Great a SALE !!!

I have just sold my Sony Laptop to a nice Buyer who l have just found out only lives 2 km from me. I quoted $25.00 for postage, for all over Aust.  As the buyer seems nice through email contact, is there anyway that l can cancel the postage and deliver the Laptop to him in person. Saving him some money, and no postage grab by you know who ????   Thanks.

Great a SALE !!!

It will be fine as long as the buyer is paying cash when they meet up with you, there is no seller protection for pick up items with Paypal.

Great a SALE !!!

Is the buyer ok with personal delivery? Some don't like people coming to their house other than posties.

If ok go to send invoice and enter 0.00 as postage amount and send. Don't click recalculate.

Hopefully that will adjust the fee when marked as paid.

At least that was ebays intention, whether it's been implemented I don't know.

If they've already paid or it's too hard to send zero postage in the invoice, then make sure they're okay with personal delivery. Then refund them an amount minus your travel cost (eg. petrol and time), or they can agree to give you some cash back too.

Thanks kopes, yes the person is happy to hand deliver, but is easy both ways. Has given me his mobile number, seems in his mid 50's.  Yes, a spring chicken like you kopes.

When ever my wife and l go down to Glenelg, by the sea, here in Adelaide, we have our favourite Danish ice cream shop we stop in.

yum, yum, & yum. Nobody can make ice cream like the Danes.  Thanks.

Thank You PJ, l will do the right thing & remind my Buyer of that fact. Yes, in my attempt to give 100% Good Service, l had overlooked that very important point.

On another matter, l am sorry to be leaving this so late, but wish you nothing but the Best in Health & Happiness, for the rest of the year, and beyond. My Auntie's Estate has now gone through the UK Probate system, and l will PM you some beautiful photo's of the place. Take care, Bye.

PJ, l am on your Diet, but am having trouble keeping up with you, maybe l should have a Larger Glass !!!!!

You've done the right thing by asking the buyer if it's ok,

I bought something from a seller who lived down the road (didn't know)

He turned up on my doorstep and gave me cash back for delivery.

Scared the bejeezus outa me.   Bit stawkerish - and I told him never to do

that again.

Marked him way down for communication.

So, he hand delivered it to you on your doorstop, saved you money on postage, and you marked him down for communication.

DUE TO YOUR LOW STAR RATING HE GOT A DEFECT FOR HIS SERVICE.

Yep.      I know he got a defect.   Did it on purpose.  Told ya  - scared the bejeezus

outta me.

The seller should have messaged me prior,  What's the point of being

anonymous if ya gunna turn up on my doorstep and blind-side me?

Postage was 70c  -  I'll throw a party on what I saved shall I?
