IS A BONE A BONE?

FAUX MEANS FAKE/FALSE.

MANY SELLERS HAVE PUT THE WORD "FAUX" BEFORE THE WORD "BONE"  IN THEIR ITEM DESCRIPTIONS.

IF, TO KEEP EBAY HAPPY, THIS COMPLIES WITH EBAY'S SO-CALLED IVORY POLICY, IT ALSO PROVIDES A LOOPHOLE TO BUYERS.

IF A BUYER PURCHASES A FAUX-BONE KNIFE, RECEIVES IT AND DISCOVERS THAT ITS REALLY BONE, SAID BUYER IS TECHNICALLY ENTITLED TO A FULL REFUND BECAUSE ITS "NOT AS DESCRIBED"

harley,

unbelievably - you have missed the point again!

And I know, my problem is easily fixed - but yours?  Not quite as easy.

Didn't the OP state - Faux Bone.

Yep.

Also stated was - if it was the 'real thing' - would it be selling for $49.95.

I seriously don't think so.

Faux is Faux.

No matter what others list.

what are you talking about? dont spread that rubbish. of course you are allowed to change a light bulb because you are not required to access the power box (meter) on your house to turn the power off to the batten fixture allowing you to safely change the bulb. you turn the power off at the light switch.

Cathy's right.   It's a really old law that they haven't bothered to fix -

Funnily enough, unless you're a licensed electrician, it's illegal to change a lightbulb in Victoria. This doesn't just apply to public buildings, either; it's actually against the law to change the lightbulb in your own home. This one's probably a leftover from the days when having an unlicensed electrician change your lighting was a good way to burn the entire neighbourhood down.

Suffice to say you're unlikely to get charged for doing it today, but even if you do, the penalty's just a $20 fine. Hardly worth worrying about.

Google it

Tring not to get banned again for speaking my mind.

Does anyone remember in a "Blade" movie the overlay obese librarian too fat to get off his bed?
I'm getting a picture of a person like that in my mind. it's called an Internet Troll. (Wikipedia)

Sir, instead of saying something that you think may offend me/us, remember that the purpose of being in business is to make money. Period. Instead of judging and proffering rediculous things like "then Don't sell them", I would be extremely grateful if someone else would giveme their honest opinion/advice instead of blind blanket statements that don't make sense.  Has anyone ever heard of faux-paint or faux-porn or faux-nazis?

Yes, I AM upset at having so-called selling privileges suspended for 30 days, but, and I state this explicitly for the trolls, eBay told me what was wrong with the item, I fixed it, they said OK that's great, then on re-listing said item was immediately suspended of selling "priveleges".

I must be the only rated Top/Premium Seller with a 100% Customer satisfaction rating to be suspended for longer than he's had a Shop.

This is my last Post.

How many ebay discussion board members does it takes to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"
... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 who cut & paste from industry statements to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.
