Selling limits

Have traded for some years in my personal capacity.

Opened a new business acct yesterday and have been restricted to listing 2 (TWO) items...... until "you have established more selling history, we will be happy to review your account again to see if the limits can be raised. "

Is this normal?

What can you do with 2 items?

Why didn't they tell you this when you create the Acct, - I would not have bothered with all the effort to set up eBay and Paypal.

Talk about how to win friends and influence people!

Maybe somone with some gumption will see how silly this is....

Selling limits

my understanding is if you place a credit card on file with eBay they will raise selling limits.

you place card details for payment on ebay fees.

then press request to raise selling limits.

Selling limits

-- you can also contact eBay with details of your personal account and if you have a good Selling Record on that account they will often upgrade your Selling Limits tool.

understandably, ebay are trying to protect buyers from ''new'' sellers who open an a/c to sell thousands of dollars of stuff in a week and then disappear.( as used to be the case before Selling Limits were put in place)
