Problems with Browser applications?

The way your system works is bloody hopeless?   I thought I was venting my frustrations, and in fact was just putting in the subject matter?   I would like to purcahse certain items and when I try to proceed am told my browser is too old?   I have the latest browser I wish to use and am not keen on changing to something I have not used before?   Is this a ploy to get one to change browsers or what?   I find it very suspicious.   I will write to the seller and explain my problems and see if he can help me to view the item I wish to purchase?   Not very reassurred.
