Title says it all really. It is so annoying to post then realise I've forgotten something or it's got typos. With an edit function we could just add to the post instead of adding multiple posts in quick succession.

 

I have the worlds most stupid touchpad which causes the cursor to jump around mid sentence and puts text in strange places.   :)

I agree Freakiness!

 

Every other forum I know has an edit button.

 

PS I have a possessed mouse. It makes spaces between words and the cursor runs amok.

I seldom bother to repost my typos - unless they change or obscure the meainng of the post. there's not really much point. Besides, they give the spelling police a reason to exist.:^O

 

An edit button would be nice, but can you imagine the arguments it might start:

 

 'Ooh, look what you just said'

'No I didn't'

'Yes you did.'

'Prove it'

'Post xxx'

'Doesn't say that at all.'

'Ooh. youve just changed it.'

'No I haven't.'

Yes you have.   etc. etc. etc.

I usually read my posts before I post them - I can't touch type and some of my letters are rubbed off - that's my edit function!!

I guess 'Preview' can serve as an edit tool - get it right before posting. I find it is as soon as you hit the button and too late to go back that you see the really obvious and embarrassing typo. :-D

I was thinking of all those posts in which I forget something then make second post to add what's been forgotten. Like a short term edit function that is available for a short time, not one that you can edit months later.

Freakiness! I thought I was going nuts! I saw your thread but your name was Freakiness and I thought ... hang on a min ..  I called Freaky  Freakiness cos I like calling members nicknames when I lubs them but maybe she was always called Freakiness .. OMG I gots dementia.     :O

Now I have to go to bed. I'm suddenly very tired. I blame Freakiness.
