Never seen one like this before, I have altered the link so nobody accidently clicks on it, but when I put my cursor over the one in my inbox, the link has a different address.

Hmmm, dont know why that link is still clickable??

Anyway, I clicked on it and it goes to ebay and says item number not available, so no danger in anybody clicking it. The one in my inbox shows a different address when I put my cursor over it, not an ebay one.

I have had a few of these over the last few months. Very crude I think. Delete and block.

I...

That sound suspect. Also, it's from eBay.com not .com.au. The buyer may potentially be buying from America or using the .com but it's doubtful. If they claim to have paid, it's easy to check by PayPal or eBay. If nothing shows up there and it's still a legitimate question by a buyer, let eBay handle it. It's not your fault if the payment isn't showing up. Don't respond to something that you think might be a scam.

The safest way to check is to copy paste the ID, put it into ebay to see if its an ID, it might well  be but you will find that the fb number is different.

Or copy paste the item number and put it up in search, you will find its for something else or dosent exist.

Ive had some of those before also.

I first got almost exactly the same email over ten years ago, I used to get them most often on my buying only id which was a bit of a give away lol.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

I got several of those a couple of years ago, haven't seen one in a while.

I received one of these when i just started selling and nothing had sold yet.

I assumed it was a mistake but it clearly could have been a scam reding this thread.

Thanks
