If I can swap to fee selling on an ID I am presently paying near 13% on say a $200 item I will pay near $30 not allowing the fees on postage. If I sell on free it will be just over $12 buyer fee instead. So seems I could reduce the item by $18 and everyone will be ahead as buyers fees will be even less as well with lower price. Am I doing the sums right here?

So I’ve bought a pair of AirPods for $160, and it said it would arrive between the 14-19th of may. Not long after purchasing the product the listing was removed for a “policy violation”. I saw this and decided to cancel the order, as there was no tracking available and it hadn’t arrived, it was also now the 20th of may. On the 28th of may my cancellation request was denied with it stating “your product will arrive on the 18th of may” but that was 10 days ago. I’ve also submitted for a refund but have heard nothing and don’t know how to get my money back. Any help is appreciated

I sold a card and they chose Parcel Post. I sent it untracked, with their permission. They have told me they received it but on the order it says payment on hold waiting for delivery confirmation. How do I confirm delivery to have funds released?

On 8th May, 2026 I purchased a Dell laptop motherboard for $311.00AU from a Chinese seller. The feedback appeared OK. The seller provided a tracking number however the item was never sent.

I made contact with eBay and their menu system wants me to wait until the 9-6-2026 which was the latest expected arrival.

The problem is there is NO expected arrival as the item was never sent.

EBay's online support system is next to useless.

They have NO email contact address and no telephone contact number.

This DOES NOT COMPLY with the ASIC regulations for businesses operating in Australia.

The problem is also is that ASIC is a paper tiger and next to useless.

I believe they have recently come under considerable pressure for the lack of performance in consumer protection.

In the meantime I have a Dell XPS 13 9365 without a functioning motherboard and eBay expect me to wait for an inordinate amount of time for them to remove a non-performing seller off eBay and hopefully provide a refund, which I may or may not get.

I have in the past dealt on the odd occasion with other platforms and found their support system to be far superior than that of eBay.

I will be dealing elsewhere more and more in the future.

I have had my eBay account since December, 2001 and have found that their support has reduced markedly over the years.

Seller asking for extra $35 postage fee for item showing "free shipping" to my postcode

Hi,

I just ordered an item on eBay yesterday. The item shows free postage to my postcode. Soon after ordering, the seller messaged me telling me that my postcode is outside of their free shipping zone and I need to pay an additional $35, but they are reducing it to $15 as goodwill.

Why is my postcode shown as free shipping if it is outside of this zone and is this something that a business can ask for?

New free selling system - a few questions please

I have not sold on eBay for a few years.

This is mostly due to the cost.

Now that the new free selling thing has started I want to clarify a few things.

1. Do I have to use eBay postage labels? If so, are these considerably more expensive for the buyer than standard postage?

2. How long does it take to get paid? Is it within a day of the item arriving? How does this work?

3. Does eBay charge the buyer postage directly when they pay? Or does the buyer pay me for postage and I pay for the label?

I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the risk. Got burned once before selling and that is why I stopped

I was started to use Ebay since March 2026 and recently have bought something expensive on Ebay, and just realized it's a fake item when delivered; Sorry for stating it's a fake item but 'replica' might seem a praise to it as can't find anything on it that similar to the authentic one and it supposed to be sold at nearly $20 instead of hundred of dollars.

So I have requested a return & refund and the seller provided me a return label; As it's my first experience to return item on eBay and believed on what mentioned by help articles of eBay, I was thought that it's a prepaid label provided by seller and ready to return until get informed and explained by Australia Post's staff that it isn't a prepaid label

Thanks to the help and effort by eBay's agent，they helped me to inspect and identified that return label wasn't a prepaid one and have taken further action to the seller

Now I have mixed feeling on it as although I knew that I get scammed and request a compensation，however it's also my fault of misleaded by the photos of listed items that provided by seller（as it's image of authentic one）before verifying the image sources & country of origin；Also am I too harsh and rude to a seller as based on the seller's return policy，buyer have to pay for return postage but after contacting with eBay agent，they told me not to return it first and instead they informed the seller to provide a fully refund for me

Please share your opinion and thought as I'm not sure am I done everything correct or not

I wish to complain to Ebay, the company.

i have recently purchased items listed as in Australia to later find out they are from oversea's suppliers and fall well out of the expected delivery times.

Ebay should have all accounts verified with location. Buyers buy items expecting to receive the item mainly withing the expected delivery times. from my personal resent experience almost a month of being stuffed around and lied to, to then being refunded.

repurchsed from another seller listed in " australia" to now find it's located in Pakistan.

ebay need to get a handle on this as it is false advetising.

Hi, just looking for some advice. I made a purchase this morning on eBay to an international seller via PayPal and the money has been transferred. However I do not see the item my purchase in my purchase list. Is this a technical issue or is this another problem?
