Warranty Failure

I purchased a car part covered by a one year warranty. The item failed after 6 months, so beyond the return period.

I contacted the seller with no reply.

The ebay portal dosent cover a return after the usual 30day period.

How can the sell offer 1 year waranty then deny support.

Purchased a ring, after asking if genuine, told yes genuine solid 10ct gold, genuine aquamarine and genuine diamonds, to turn out all fake! The ring was to be yellow gold band, white gold setting, came all yellow, size was to be 7.5 (made big deal about doing half sizes) came in size 7 too small. I lodged complaint for return, seller said to send item back at my expense they would reimburse postage if I sent my bank or Paypal details as could not raise a postage label for my country? I no longer have their trust, but also Ebay has system for sellers to buy postage labels! Ring looks cheap and nasty, it is cheap and nasty with a fake valuation card. So I ask after advising Ebay of all of this why do they allow these crooks to fraud people and continue trading!?

Seller has now asked for more money for shipping than was originally advertised . Shipping charge was $140 USD when I paid for the item now they are asking for an extra $110 USD to ship it as they claimed their economy shipping merchant could not send it although I clicked on the shipping price on the ad and it had no info that it could not be shipped to me.

Seems like they are breaching ebay sellers policy ?

I told them that they are responsible to sort it out as I read their ad fully including their shipping page and nothing was saying they could not ship it to me nor anything about maybe needing to pay extra charges . Now it seems I either have to wait until the due date of shipping to make a complaint to ebay or cancell the item which I do not want to do as I need it .

Seller has cancelled accepted return of damaged item

Hi, I have recently made my first purchase on eBay. I have bought an item (limited edition one) on 15th of April, the item was classified as in "used" condition, but it did not mention any "unusual damage". Based on the provided photos and description, I have concluded that I would be fine with receiving the item in the condition as it was advertised.

Unfortunately, after receiving the package and inspecting the item, I have noticed damage which was not mentioned in the description nor photos. The item is from a limited edition, meaning that it is impossible for me to find a replacement part to replace the damaged part (the production has been discontinued for a while and I don't think that there are many of them produced, so it is unlikely for me to find spare parts listed anywhere). Based on this, I have contacted the seller and explained the situation to him, he said that he deems it as something that he would not consider as an issue, but he decided to accept my return request.

The seller told me his preferred return shipping option - to which I have replied that he should be the one providing the "return shipping label" as per eBay rules (bought item is damaged / does not fit the description). After that he replied, that he cannot order shipping from my country and that I should contact eBay support and ask them to "step in" and get the shipping label this way.

Today was the last day for the seller to provide "return shipping label", so I was looking for ways how to figure this out with the eBay support in the meantime. Instead of receiving shipping label, I got a notification that the seller has cancelled the return request - after that he has contacted eBay support - and right after that I got notified about him creating an appeal to eBay support. After like 10 minutes I got another notification that eBay support has determined that I won't receive refund.

After all of this, I have tried to contact eBay support to make an appeal, as I think that I have been lied to multiple times by the seller and I have received defect item, which I would want to return. I have received reply from the chatbot that "agent" is not available at this time - with the time suggestion for tomorrow from 9 am CET - 6 pm CET (how the seller managed to contact the support outside of the "work hours" is a mystery to me).

Anyone has an idea how should I approach this situation? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi all,

Please, do not believe that PayPal will protect the buyer. I have purchased unsafe stoves, the seller agreed to refund my payment, giving instruction how to return the items. These instructions were followed to a letter.

However, the seller has never returned the purchase money, thus stealing nearly $ 600. eBay promises of help amounted to nothing. I have received nonsensical responses. For example 'the items were as described'. Totally ignoring the fact that the seller directed me to return the stoves, even stipulating the return mode. I.e. using Australia Post, not a courier.

eBay claim of protecting the sellers is simply a lie

Hi received a damaged compressor from the seller. They were very reluctant to take the item back. Tried to tell me i would have to pay for return postage until I pointed out in their own documents it said they would pay for return of damaged items. $340.00 item they offered me $15.00 to keep it. After much negotiation they agreed to 40% refund. Refund didn’t turn up. I asked they said it was getting processed 10 to 15 days. No refund I asked again they said it will be soon.

they stretched it out to a time where EBay doesn’t look at the complaint.
I have sent this through to EBay their automated system won’t look at it.

There is no actual person to contact and speak with.Very disappointed with eBay.
Beware of this sellers. They know how to use EBay’s system to avoid their responsibilities to buyers on EBay.

If anyone has some advice please let me know.
