Weather here is getting a bit fierce...Glass House Mtns. very heavy monsoonal rain and heavy gusts of wind. All the treees have shed their rubbish on the lawn. Stay safe everyone

Never seen waves this big at Cleveland Point & Wellington Point

OMG-we are getting absolutely smashed here!!!! Horrific whistling noises,things being smashed around outside-not sure how long we'll have power if this keeps up & sounds like roof is being ripped apart :O:O:O:O

Well, I've got the Ark oin standby and I have started collecting the animals - but believe it or not - I just got a pizza delivery!

Just about everything else around here has been closed down - even my OH has been sent home from work - but the pizza guy still delivered pizza!

The little Crikey's are away on camp - (real camp with tents and stuff and cook your own food) - bet they're having fun!

Foxy, the Brisbane city council have released the predicted flood maps.

I just saw on the ABC site that their was a photo of a flooded road over a river (can't remember the name) which the Brisbane Mayor predicted (earlier today in conference with yr Premier) would be the 1st to flood ...it was predicted to happen sometime tomorrow afternoon.Things could be happening sooner.Please take care

Crikey Mate, are the little crikies OK ? I would never think to ask someone to drive to bring me a Pizza when the State police are saying to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.I feel sorry for the poor Pizza delivery person having to drive around in those conditions.Hope that your family is all ok

7:18pm: ABC Grandstand's Quentin Hull tweeted this image showing the north entry to Moggill Ferry on theBrisbane River. Earlier Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said Moggill would be the first area within Brisbane to be impacted by floodwaters late on Monday evening.

I'm WAYYYY south of that Iza & no way would we flood thank goodness BUT its the wind :O:O:O

My power went out early afternoon, just came back on a little while ago. I have been reading my kindle all day!

The wind is horrific here and we rarely get windy weather. My patio, courtyard and back garden look like a raging river, luckily our house is on a slab but raised up. I can't see the pool so I guess that means another cleaning out of mud.

The garage is flooded and a veritable waterfall of water is coming from the neighbours on the high side.

Stay safe everyone... just watching the weather channel.. it's apparently easing up north and moving down into NSW with very strong winds.

Behind it is a dry change, so hang in there and it will be over soon as it moves south and drenches more people .. gosh this weather is a worry 😞

Thunderstorms predicted for Brisb ane this afternoon and I see Bundaberg's flood is also likely to exceed the 1942 floods.:(

Rockhampton is predicted to have the biggest flood in a 100 years:-(

We'll be fine here PH. Just a lot of wind and heavy rain....although it seems to have lessened since yesterday.

We're supposed to be going out to lunch today with DD, but she says she's not coming if the weather stays as bad as it has....too dangerous to drive.

Hope everyone is safe. We are just waiting for it to hit here in Coffs Harbour. I think that those in QLD have taken the brunt of it. Some areas here are under water including the railway bridge but not as bad as QLD.
