Mel Greig 'suing Southern Cross Austereo'

Radio host Mel Greig is suing her employer Southern Cross Austereo for failing to provide a safe workplace.

Slater & Gordon lawyer Steven Lewis told 7News: “I can confirm that a general protections application has been filed with Fair Work Australia on behalf of Mel Greig against Southern Cross Austereo.

Greig has remained off work since the incident, although Austereo has previously said it would welcome her back.

In June, Christian was crowned "Top Jock" during Southern Cross Austereo's "best in the land" competition - despite continuing outrage over the incident.

I can't believe the insensitivity of Austereo giving Mike Christian the Top Jock award so soon after that incident. Then again...maybe I can.
