JANINE COHEN: so you mention asylum-seekers and overcrowding. i don't quite get the connection

FIONA SCOTT: well, my recommendation is go and sit in the Emergency Department of Nepean Hospital,or go and sit on the M4, and people see 50,000 people come by boat, and that's more than twice the population of glenmore park, where we just were ...

Well, Fiona Scott's hypothetical mum with two or more kids is part of the problem.

The world is literally crawling with people and their kids. Immigration is just re-arranging deckchairs on the Titanic.

I was flabbergasted at how dumb she was when I saw her on the program.

No wonder Tony Abbott could only praise her sex appeal because she sure hasn't got brains in her favour.

It was a bad night on TV last night for Liberal intelligence. Or lack of it.

It seems that Libs don't find IQ or conversational skills necessary in females. Only that other appeal. Those who say that abbott has a problem with women never expand on that statement as they should. He has a problem with women who have more than a little grey matter, whether or not they "look good".

I left Sydney in 1978 becuase living out north west meant it took me several hours to get to work in the city by car and then parking cost me a small fortune. I used to read newspapers on the way as it took average 3 changes of lights to get through each intersection from about North Ryde on, and I was not driving exactly in peak hour, aiming to get to the city at about 10am. On days I did not need the car I would drive either to Blacktown or Wahroonga, it was about 15km which ever way, and then got on the train, but it was also long trip.

One day I needed to pick up somebody from the airport at 7am and it took me 3 hours to get there. That was long time before M4.

Silly me I did not realise it was all the boat people who caused it!!!! Nobody told us in those times.
