They usually slide out of the side of a lappy. You can buy new batteries from most computer shops, or from that centrelink tech place if you're on benefits.

The battery cover just slides off or may need a couple of screws undoing to get the plate off.

A tech would charge you $$$ which on the top of the cost of the battery ($80+) would make it a costly exercise.

You may be able to get a generic one from an ebay seller. Depends how old your laptop is as to what is available and what price.

If you go to battery world they will sell you one and replace it for you.
