This baby in India has some very unusual soft toys in its bed that are far from being cute and cuddly.

Watch this bizarre video of a sleeping baby being protected by four cobras as it takes a nap in the sun that has sparked an outcry of condemnation after being posted on YouTube.

The snakes stand stiff around the baby like sentinels, their hoods flared out to intimidate any threat that may approach.

The baby must be used to having the cobras babysit it at nap time, even reaching out to give one a cuddle.

Whether the baby was in any actual danger is under dispute as some YouTube users pointed out the fangs of these deadly serpents are often removed by cautious snake charmers.

that is just odd, did you watch the doberman and the baby too? If our dog makes that growling sound around my grandies when playing, the game is over, regardless of his tail wagging.

That dog is not making growling noises; he is making typical playing noise.
