how about this bloke:

A MAN who tried to steal copper wire has been arrested after he lost a finger at the scene of the crime which was later used to identify him.

Joshua Goverman, 29, from Glendale, Arizona was said to be stealing the copper wire from the work truck of an air conditioning technician on October 7.

KPHO reports that the technician noticed the spool of wiring had been pulled out and on closer inspection noticed a finger entangled in the wiring.

"I can't believe he didn't come back and get the finger, I would've come back and got the finger," Glendale police officer Tracey Breeden said. "They took a popsicle stick and were able to attach it to that finger, and they were able to roll that finger and get a print on that finger."

The fingerprinting led police to Goverman, who was missing a finger when he was taken into custody a week later.

There is also the gentelman who was stealing security cameras(live ones) and left perfect closeups of himself.

The WA police have put him on facebook as the worlds dumbest thief.
