Making a complaint thru ACCC

How does it work exactly? Say you have a complaint about a business not honoring the vouchers on those online deals.

I know it's expensive to get the lawyers involved. what's the easiest way of doing it without involving the lawyers?

You'd be better off lodging a complaint with Fair Trading. (where is the Business registered?) Before you do that, you have to make sure you can demonstrate that you have given the Business an opportunity to resolve the dispute. Take names, keep copies of emails, letters etc.

You can also just lodge a complaint via the ACCC website. The more complaints they receive about this Business, the more likely they will take action.

No, not at all. Initially they will contact the Business on your behalf and that is usually enough . If that fails, it can escalate to be heard at a Tribunal. It used to involve a $10 fee (when i worked there but I'm sure it has gone up since then) I am going by NSW Fair Trading but it should be similar in your state.
