Yes, the riot squad rushed the car with tear gas, smashed the back window drug him out and arrested him. He appeared to have a container of fuel in the car. Prior to that he was handing the negotiator pages of writing.

It is understood the driver told police he had a bomb in the car.

its been live on Sky News. The reports are, the man is known to Police and his demand was to see the Premier.

A man who forced the lockdown of NSW Parliament House in a suspected bomb threat had been on a hunger strike outside the building last year over a $200 fine he received 15 years ago.

Abdula Ganiji told the Illawarra Mercury in December 2012 he was refusing to eat or return home to his Cringila family until Premier Barry O'Farrell launched an investigation into his dispute with his former employer, Wollongong Radio Cabs.

........."When that man attempted to light a cigarette lighter, wind the windows of the car up with what we believe to be a container of flammable liquid, those officers put their lives on the line this afternoon and they resolved the situation in a peaceful manner.

Well guess where I was stuck yesterday?

I had a meeting at PH yesterday when the place went crazy.At first they shuffled everyone into the basement areas and then they let people go back to their offices but no-one was allowed to leave. Which made no sense cause there is a back exit..

AND! I missed our office Christmas lunch! Had to eat in the PH cafeteria. Which BTW is open to the public and very good - I had a huge risotto for $6.

At least you got some risotto Martini, the bloke in the car only got a bottle of water, a wrecked car, skined knees, a headache, and a night in a cell.
