Hell is Frozen Over!

With sub-zero temperatures creating havoc across the Northern Hemisphere, it's so cold Hell has frozen over.

That goes for both Hell, Michigan, in the US and its European namesake, Hell, Norway.

My friend lives in Wisconsin and they have -25deg.....................she said you cant go out, it is just too cold. They live on the Fox River and it is frozen over.

I was in the US, just below New York, for a month in November when it was not cold. Like hell, wasn't it! The air was not icy, but I could feel the cold earth through my shoes. My feet were cold, the whole time I was there. The grog was cheap, though.

8 degrees now. It was 1 the other day, but will be 50 on sunday. My fingers were frozen to the point they hurt just in the time it took to put air in my tires. The 30 mph wind didn't help. Somewhere it was -52....antifreeze freezes and toss a pot of boiling water in the air it turns to ice before it hits the ground.

I happen to like the varying temps here....rarely very cold and rarely very hot. (I have no problem with either.... for short periods!)

It was that is hell exothermic one, but it was the wrong version, I meant to post the version that proved hell had frozen over, but copied the wrong one and didn't have time to get the right one to beat the edit and then a butterfly flew past and I noticed some shiny things and well, I never got round to posting the right one

I saw it on the news. The Gates of Hell in the US dripping with icicles. Hell in Norway has also frozen over. Two very small places, but popular tourist destinations.

Really there is a Hell on earth and it is frozen for a while.

The pot of water thing has made news here Jimmy, along with pics from network sites of some pretty nasty burns from people trying it! If your going to throw boiling water into the air, be sure you're not throwing it INTO the wind!

Niagara Falls did not completely freeze over this week according to numerous US news sources

However, Niagara Falls did completely freeze over several times in the past

in 1858

in 1890

in 1911

in 1932

in 1948

according to various sources and photos

Climate change is a bust yet again

Agree though that the frozen falls and snow covered winter scenery are spectacular

Hello. No, I got that from one of the Niagra Falls frozen videos. Today reached the freezing mark and will reach 50 by Sunday. After all that cold, 50 will feel like summer.
