No I havent. I think Id rather starve. I eat the flesh only not any form or offal yuck!! And I think haggis is poisonous

tripe is yummy in a white sauce

my grandmother used to make it and put dumplings in it that was yum too

i don't bother to cook it as no one else likes it

I am with you there chuk.

Not even steak & kidney pie, liver and bacon.. no, no, no. Was brought up on a farm but not made to eat offal thank goodness.

chuk.. my Dad bought a small carton of canned lambs tongues.. very proud of his good deal.. eww.. He was the only one that ate them.. ate his way through them all eventually though.

I wouldn't try Haggis when visitng Scotland either.. even though people I was visiting said I had to!

nope, sheep is old and rubbery including its insides, leaves a nasty taste in my mouth

My mum makes great tripe in tomato based sauce with polenta though. Love to see the white sauce recipe. Tripe is the bomb when cooked right imo. Yuma Cha tripe mmm.

Used to be fed liver in the "mother serves it, you eat it" days, but gone off that now.

Mind you, could stil happily tuck into a steak and kidney pie

I spent many years in hospitality management. I was very fortunate to be served many different dishes and ingredients. I have also worked overseas and experienced many weird but wonderful dishes.

The palate has to be introduced to many things until it reaches maturity then having a mature palate you can the enjoy foods of all kinds.

There is a theory that the explosion in food allergies is due to not introducing differnt foods to infants and young children.

Im having smell flashbacks to when i was a kid

Mum use to make steak and kidney pie but put all the kidneys in one section and mark it with K and only dad ate that bit

Braised lambs heart

pressed tongue

dad and his sunday fry ups with black pudding, exploding it in the microwave once 😄

gross!!!

I 'm like you Chuk,

I've never eaten any of these things and I don't think I ever could.

Occasionally I see tripe in a butchers window.... That's the closest I've ever been to it.... Yuck!

OH who is a Scotty has had haggis and said he survived it lol

I've cooked tripe and onions for Mr Elephant but could never get up the courage to taste it myself. I like liver though, and crumbed fried lambs brins are rather yummy too. I can never see black pudding now without thinking of Bill Oddy and the noble art of Ecky thump.
