Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken simmer sauce?

I usually get Butter Chicken Sauce from Aldi. I just serve it up as Curry Chicken and Rice.

This week ALDI only had Rogan Josh. I hate it when they don't stock their shelves right.

So I got Rogan Josh instead. Will it be ok? Is it more spicy as I see it has more red bits in it? Are they chili?

OH hates spicy.

Rogan Josh is traditionally for lamb. It will be hotter(spicier)

than Butter Chicken

think you are in trouble................. my OH will eat butter chicken but won't eat any other curries, he hates spicey!

Rogan Josh most certainly does contain chilli, one of the main spices is dried Kashmiri chilies that have been de-seeded to reduce their heat. These chilies (whose flavor approximates that of paprika) are considerably milder than the typical dried cayenne chilies, but if you O/H doesn't like spicy I suggest you serve up something completely different.

That is what we are having tonight. Madras chicken curry. Sons girlfriend is eating here tonight and she doesn't like things hot so I'm really going to have to tone it down. I love hot spicy curries.
