Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine question

We bought our son a Delonghi Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine for his birthday.

And he loves it...................but it is proving a bit expensive buying the pods for it.

Does anyone know if you can get reusable pods for it..............or if any other brands/makes can be used in the Delonghi one.

If you just do a search on eBay or Google there are heaps of sites you can buy either genuine or generic filled pods, and also refillable pods - I've refilled used pods and topped them with an alfoil lid. It's very simple to do and quite successful.

I have seen the reusable ones on here...............but it did not mention the Delonghi as one of the ones they could be used in...............and $25 is a bit too much to waste if I can not use them.

I will mention to our son about using the foil.........thanks.

I saw some refillable ones in a catalogue recently. I think one of those odd ones that come in the junk mail and you order online or leave at the door for them to collect.
